"China is more susceptible to hepatitis B due to genetic influences, HLA [8], there are genes that have been affected so easily affected by hepatitis," he said.

According to the Specialist Doctors, lifestyles and habits also influence the onset of the disease. For example, Chinese residents in Singapore are more at risk of contracting hepatitis B than in America.
